History

Arcadia Abstract & Title Co., Inc. was originally founded in 1963 by Denzil "Dink" Bradley. Mr. Bradley was born and raised in Nocatee, Florida. After serving in WWII, Mr. Bradley came back home to Florida and worked for a title company in Polk County, FL. After gaining experience on the field, he remained in Arcadia, FL., and opened his own company, Arcadia Abstract & Title Company. Arcadia Abstract was, at the time, one of the only two title companies located in Desoto County, Florida. Later on, Mr. Bradley met Eugene P. Heitman, whom became friends through-time. In March 1996, Arcadia Abstract & Title Co., Inc. took on a new ownership. Mr. Bradley sold his company to M. Heitman, bestowing his immerse clientele and partnerships with local businesses.

Eugene P. Heitman moved to Arcadia, FL and started his own family, which were born and raised in the Old Town Florida style. Prior to owning Arcadia Abstract, Mr. Heitman’s interest as a private property appraiser’s lead his interest into the real estate business. A few years later, Mr. Heitman’s son, Jeffrey W. Heitman, joined the business as a title searcher (abstractor). Jeffrey W. Heitman has gained and retained knowledge for many years as a Licensed Title Agent, Title Searcher and the history of DeSoto County, FL.

Since the 1960’s the “ARCADIA ABSTRACT” family has developed a loyal and diversified client base. This long-term success is the result of great service and products provided to CUSTOMERS and BUSINESS PARTNERS by a GREAT STAFF. In that tradition of quality and service, Arcadia Abstract is here to serve you.

For almost sixty years the “ARCADIA ABSTRACT” name has meant courteous, prompt and professional quality title services delivered by knowledgeable and friendly staff and management.

Today, Arcadia Abstract continues to be family owned and operated, which continues the tradition of the former Owner. Arcadia Abstract & Title Co., Inc. is still providing the same high quality Title Services Floridians and customers from around the world have come to expect for generations. We hope to carry on the tradition of the “ARCADIA ABSTRACT” name for generations to come. Today, Arcadia Abstract is the only title company standing in DeSoto County, FL.
